Team up with other researchers and biologists to help sample and identify aquatic organisms in Hickory Creek at this Bio-Blitz on September 8th from 9:30 a.m. – noon.

Volunteer as a “Citizen Scientist” for 2018 Bio-Blitz! What better way to get involved in your own community, while learning more about the biology of your stream. As a “Citizen Scientist” you will assist the “Bio-Blitz Scientist” in collecting and sorting aquatic organisms in our streams.  SIGN UP  TODAY!

Where: Choose from one of the staging locations listed below
Staging Locations:

EAST: Union Creek Community Park, 19900 S. 80th Ave, Tinley Park.
Host: Village of Tinley Park (start at 9:30 am)

WEST: Pilcher Park Nature Center, 2501 Highland Park Dr, Joliet. Host:
Pilcher Park (start at 9:30 am)

WEST: Joliet Water & Sewer Service Center, 921 Washington St, Joliet.
Host: City of Joliet (start at 9:30 am)

CENTRAL: Crystal Creek Prairie, 10798 Crystal Creek Dr, Mokena. Host:
Village of Mokena (start at 9:30 am)

SOUTH: New Lenox Sanitary Treatment Plant #1, 323 N. Cedar Rd, New
Lenox. Host: Village of New Lenox Public Works (start at 11:00 am)

SOUTH: New Lenox VFW Post 9545, 323 Old Hickory Rd, New Lenox.
Host: New Lenox VFW (start at 9:30 am)
